Research
My research is foccused on membranes and membrane proteins using atomic
detail and coarse grained computer simulations. The aims are:
- to understand static and dynamic properties of lipid bilayers as a complicated two-dimensional fluid
- to describe and understand complicated phospholipd/cholesterol phase diagrams
- to understand properties of membrane proteins and predict membrane protein
structure
- to understand the role of protein/lipid interactions for the proteins
as well as the membranes
